About Dacor

Dacor livestock is a stud farm at the picturesque foothill of Zailiysky Alatau, 12 km far from Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

You feel such uncontrolled freedom that you rush, feeling a free studhorse’s strength, towards strong wind, bringing a spicy smell of wormwood. Or you can just enjoy placative view of grazing horses on the back of magnificent mountains that always look different and unique at any time, in any epoch.

The Nature and the Horse form a perfect whole in this wonderful place called Dacor, which is translated from French as “peace, conciliation, harmony”. Olzhas Suleymenov, a great Kazakh poet, gave such a name to this place.

One of the activities of our stud farm is stock and selective breeding of blooded Akhal-Teke horses. True standout horses of Posman, Gelishikli, Kaplan, Kir Sakar, Karlavach, Peren, Arab, Melekush and other lines have been brought here. Our stud farm’s pride is Salyr stud (Gaigysyz – Saniya), a two-time world champion; Salyr was acknowledged to be the best studhorse in Kazakhstan in 2007. Its colts: stud Gasyr, a young champion of Kazakhstan in 2006 (Salyr – Gozel); mare Guldes (Salyr – Gozel), a young champion of Kazakhstan in 2007; the best mare in 2008 – Dabys (Salyr – Dilyara); two-time reserve champion in Kazakhstan in 2006 – stud Mustang (Salyr – Mziuri), and Kazakhstan reserve champions – studs Dallas, Miras and mare Gazhap, bred on our stud farm and forming a golden stock.

A brood stock consists of more than 20 brood mares – outstanding mares, sired by such famous studs, as Sapar Khan, Polot-2, Orlan and others.

It is also worth mentioning that the Dacor stud farm is open for partners and ready to share its experience.
